About us

Where it all started

Jack Ansley grew up in the Atlanta area before putting down roots in Braselton in 1985, and once he was there, he never left. Before he ever opened a restaurant, he was racing cars, crewing for champion teams, and eventually becoming crew chief. He went on to become managing partner and part owner of Road Atlanta, where he also served as team owner for the champion Lotus race team.

In 2007, he saw an opportunity to give his community something it was missing: a great bar and restaurant where people could gather. There was no grand plan behind it, no vision for a restaurant group. He just wanted to give his community something worth showing up for. It became a favorite almost immediately, and the rest followed the way most things do with Jack. A good opportunity presented itself, and he wasn’t going to pass it up.

A Family Business

Jacks Brand Restaurant Group was not built by investors or operators from somewhere else. It was built by Jack and Hollie Ansley, two people who have made Braselton their home and their life’s work. When Jacks took off faster than either of them expected, Hollie left her career in social work to join the restaurant full time. Together they have built and operated every concept the group runs today. Their son Jackson, a KPMG-trained consultant, joined the family to help carry it forward. Their daughter Cara has worn just about every hat in the building over the years, working as a server, bartender, and manager across the group. Their niece Bailey is the most recent addition to the family business, now managing at Jacks. This is a family business in the most literal sense, and that is exactly how they intend to keep it.

Today

Jacks Brand Restaurant Group operates five concepts across Northeast Georgia: Jacks, Jacks Public House, Local Station, ReBar, and Traditions Golf and Country Club. More than 100 team members show up every day to serve the communities that have supported this family since 2007. The Ansleys remain as involved as ever, not just in the day to day operation of their restaurants, but in the region they call home. The group continues to grow, always deliberately and always with the same values that have guided it from the beginning. The names on the door have not changed. Neither have the values.

The Jacks Promise

Jack Ansley did not open his first restaurant with a mission statement. He opened it because his community deserved a great place to gather, and he believed he could build one. Nearly two decades later, that instinct is still the operating principle behind every decision Jacks Brand Restaurant Group makes.

When 2020 brought the hospitality industry to its knees, the communities around Jacks Brand responded with a loyalty the Ansley family has never forgotten. Guests ordered takeout, tipped generously, and showed support however they could. That kind of relationship does not happen by accident. It is the result of years of showing up, doing the work, and treating every guest like a neighbor, because in most cases, that is exactly what they are.

Jacks Brand has never been in the business of chasing trends or expanding for the sake of a bigger footprint. Every concept this group operates exists because there was a genuine need in the community for it, and because the family believed they could fill that need better than anyone else. That standard applies to the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the people behind it all.

Our restaurants are regularly recognized as the best in the area, a distinction the team does not take lightly. Awards are gratifying, but they are not the goal. The goal is the same one it has always been: to give the people of Northeast Georgia a place they are proud to call theirs.

Something for everyone, since 2007.
